Circular hike Alpinence - Kühbergalm - Riemerbergl

DIRECTIONS

The hiking trail starts right at the end of the road. Go downhill for the two minutes

to the crossroads and turn right there (path upwards). Follow the signs for the Larcher Berger Säge. When you get to the saw, turn right and follow the sign towards Kühbergalm. Whether you take the forest road or the shortcuts is up to you. Directly below the Kühbergalm, the hiking trail and the signs continue to the Riemerberglalm. From the Riemerberglalm the forest path branches off to the Simian car park (signposted St. Walburg). Here, too, you can decide whether to take the forest path or rather the marked one

Abbreviations. Back on the main road, follow the road past the parking lot to the first left curve. There the path branches off to the right with signs

Larcher Berger saw / Kühberg Alm / Hoher Dieb. This path leads you back again

to the Alpinence where you only have to turn left (down) once more

(Signposted with St. Moritz and St. Walburg).

To the Kühbergalm

DIRECTIONS

The hiking trail begins at the end of the road. Walk the two minutes downhill to the crossroads and turn right there (path up). Follow the signs for the Larcher Berger saw. Once at the saw, turn left for the easier trail (not signposted) or continue straight ahead for the steeper and longer trail (signposted). Both paths lead into each other and thus via path 4B to Steinrast. Way back: From Steinrast, take path number 9 to the Alpinhotel Falkomai, in the direction of the Weiberhimmel valley station. Follow the road until the junction with path 3 appears on the left. Follow the path to Alpinence.

 

The other way around:

From Alpinence down on path 3 to the main road (signposted St. Moritz), in the direction of the Weiberhimmel valley station. From there on path number 9 to Steinrast. At Steinrast via path 4B to Windwerf and on to the Larcherberg saw. Downhill on path 4A to Platzwies (signposted St. Moritz) and on to Innerlarcher to Alpinence (path 3)

 

Vom Alpinence aus

To the Kuppelwieser Alm

DIRECTIONS

The hiking trail starts right at the end of the road. Walk the two minutes downhill to the crossroads and turn right there (path up). Follow the signs for the Larcher Berger Säge. When you get to the saw, turn right as signposted (red dashed and longer route) or continue straight ahead (not signposted - shorter route). Both paths lead into each other and thus via path 4B to Steinrast. You continue on path no. 11 to the Kuppelwieser Alm. Way back: the same to Steinrast. From Steinrast, take path number 9 to the Alpinhotel Falkomai, towards the Breiteben valley station. Follow the street until the turning with path 3 appears on the left. Follow the path to Alpinence.

From Alpinence to St Moritz and on to Schwemmalm

DIRECTIONS

From Alpinence, follow hiking trail 3 downwards, signposted “St. Moritz ”until you get to the main street. From there, follow the road uphill until the path branches off on the left, signposted “St. Moritz ”. (If the path is still closed, you can continue a few meters to the Weiberhimml restaurant. Past there, you will come to the chairlift where you continue and follow the ski slope up along the path to the turnoff to St. Moritz .

At the parking lot, follow the marking no. 6 steeply upwards towards Schwemmalm to the first fork in the path, where you keep left and after crossing the forest for a long time you reach a forest road. You go left across the road to a meadow. The path splits at the end of the meadow; you climb up the forest path to the right (signposts - no. 6), then shorten over a steep path to the right and briefly up through the forest. The forest road is crossed, the path leads straight up through the forest and alpine meadows and in turn joins the forest path. On this one continues to the left until the next junction. The way back is the same.

 

Circular hike Alpinence - Marschnellalm - Riemerbergl

DIRECTIONS

The hiking trail starts right at the end of the road. Go downhill for the two minutes

to the crossroads and turn right there (path upwards). At the first T-junction, go right (slightly downhill) on path 4A to the main street. Follow the street up to the left to Simian, where the starting point for the Riemerbergl Alm is. Following the road straight ahead to Riem is the starting point for the Marschnell Alm. Via path 10A you reach the Marschnell Alm. You can either go back the same way or take path 4 via the Riemerberglalm.

Over the Kofelraster lakes to the high thief

The hiking trail starts right at the end of the road. Walk the two minutes down the steep slope to the crossroads and turn right there (path up). Follow the signs for the Larcher Berger Säge. When you get to the saw, turn right and follow the sign towards Kühbergalm. Whether you take the forest road or the shortcuts is up to you.

When you arrive at the Kühbergalm, follow the signs to “Hoher Dieb” to the Kofelraster lakes. When you arrive at the first lake, follow it and continue following the signs to “Hoher Dieb”. (Another 1h)

DIRECTIONS

Past the chapel, follow the rural road until just before the first intersection. You will find the signpost Riemerbergl Alm / Hoher Dieb on the left. Follow this ascending path and keep left. We change to path 4A which turns left and on which we follow a longer straight forest road again. The Alpinence is already visible below us. At the next left turn (signposted “St. Moritz”) it goes downhill past the Platzlwies and back to the Alpinence.

On the old Weißbrunnweg

DIRECTIONS

From St. Gertraud , follow marker 140 through meadows, past various farm groups. The Alte Weißbrunnweg leads uphill through the forest to the Weißbrunnsee. The lake is circumnavigated via path no. Follow the markings to the Fiechtalm, turn left there and take No. 107 down the Alte Weißbrunnweg to St. Gertraud to the starting point.

To the Kirchbergalm with a possible extension to the Haselgruberhütte

DIRECTIONS

We leave the car in the parking lot by the church and follow trail no. 106, an exciting path through meadows and forests. A picturesque brook accompanies us. After a wooden bridge it's a bit steep for a short while, but soon we're on the forest road, which we don't leave anymore (unless we feel like taking a shortcut). From now on, the trail is marked no. 108. It goes uphill to the unserviced Köllgrubalm (1638 m). Here the valley widens and offers the cows space to graze. We go on, leave the dilapidated gentian hut on the right and follow a few serpentines or take the shortcut. With a stroller, it is advisable to stay on the forest road. In early summer, the remains of avalanches can still bear witness to the power of nature in the valley. Back on the forest road, we've almost reached our destination, the Kirchbergalm (also Kirchbergkaser) at 1887 m. If you want to go further, you can follow the forest road, climb up to the Haselgruber Joch/Rabbijoch (2460 m) and then cross to the Haselgruber Hütte (2425 m) (about another 2 hours without children). The way back is via the ascent route

Tip: With a pram or bicycle it is better to start from the bus stop, past the Lahnersäge and take the forest path to the Kirchbergalm. The forest road ends shortly after the Kirchbergalm

To the Spitzner Alm

Duration:  One way: 2h 30min 

Difficulty level: medium

Route: 14km

Altitude: 750m  -Suitable for when: Early June - late October

DIRECTIONS

After crossing the dam, a forest road (marking no. 27) branches off to the left (slightly downhill). Follow this uphill to the Spitzenalm. You can also use the marked paths through the forest. From the Alm on the same way it goes back to Dreieckwies.

(Also perfect for mountain bikes and e-bikes)

To the Kirchbergalm

Duration: Way there: 1h 30min

Difficulty level: easy

Distance: 9km in total

Elevation gain : 350m - suitable for when: beginning of June - end of October

 

DIRECTIONS

We leave the car in the parking lot by the church and follow the marking no. 106. After a wooden bridge it goes up a little steeply, but soon we are on the forest road, which we no longer leave unless we take the shortcut. From now on the path is marked no. 108. It goes uphill to the uncultivated Köllgrubalm (1638 m). We go on, leave the dilapidated Enzianhütte and follow some switchbacks or take the shortcut. Back on the forest road, we are almost at our destination, at the Kirchbergalm at 1887m. Butter and cheese are produced here. If you want to go further, you can follow the forest road, ascend to Haselgruber Joch / Rabbijoch (2460 m) and then cross to Haselgruber Hut (2425 m)

(about another 2 hours). The way back is via the ascent path.

Auerbergalm

DIRECTIONS

From St. Nikolaus or the valley road below the village, either follow the marking 18, largely on the old alpine path or along the longer but less steep forest path on the slopes of the Auerberg valley through coniferous forests up to the Auerbergalm (1,644 m; snack station; from starting point just under 1 , 5 hours) - Descent: Via the ascent path, whereby in parts the footpath or the road can be chosen as an alternative to the route taken in the ascent (approx. 1 hour)

Via the Flatschbergalmen to the Schusterhüttl

DIRECTIONS

From the car park, first follow trail no. 143, then turn right and follow path no. 146 to the Öbersten Hof. Continue up, then turn left and take trail no. 147 up to the rustic Schusterhüttl. Follow trail no. 12 down to the Hinteren Flatschberg Alm. Turn left and follow trail no. 143 past the Vorderen Flatschberg Alm back to the starting point. The way back can also be made via the Kaserfeld Alm. From the Schusterhüttl, we take hiking trail no. 12 to the left and follow it for 20 minutes to the next marker, which now reads the Kaserfeld Alm. From the Kaserfeldalm we return to the Flatschhöfe car park via path 146.

DIRECTIONS

From St. Gertraud , follow marker 143 up to Hof Stein. Continue following the Burgstallweg and steeply uphill. Then turn right and take the path no. 145 slightly uphill to Alm Kaserfeld. The descent path (marking 14A) leads over some serpentines through the forest down into the valley. Via the Ultner Höfeweg it goes towards St. Gertraud back to the starting point

Flatschbergalm and Schusterhüttl

DIRECTIONS

Through the Ultental to St. Gertraud and up towards Flatschhöfe to the nearby parking lots in the forest.

 

DIRECTIONS

From the parking lot first on marker 143, then right and on path no.146 to the Obersten Hof. Further up, then turn left and on path no. 147 up to the Schusterhüttl. Go down on marker 12 to the Hinteren Flatschberg Alm. Turn left and take path no. 143 past the Vorderen Flatschberg Alm back to the starting point.

Ultner Höfeweg

DIRECTIONS

The Ultner Höfeweg runs from Kuppelwies (1145 m) via St. Nikolaus (1256 m) to St. Gertraud (1519 m) and from there back on the other side of the valley. Since the total distance is almost 18 kilometers, it is advisable to plan this tour as a day tour or as a two-stage tour. From the parking lot you cross the street, walk past a riding stables and into the forest, where a small brook leads to the beginning of the path. Soon the path leads past meadows and farms. Most of the time the path is flat, with short inclines to be mastered in between. In St. Gertraud there are also the well-known primeval larches. You walk on. At the Lahner Säge, one of the four national park houses in the Stilfserjoch National Park , you cross the road to get back to Kuppelwies on the other side of the valley. Part of the way is to be covered here on asphalt road, but you always return to the forest. The tour ends at the Schwemmalm valley station, the starting point.

To the Fiechtalm

DIRECTIONS

We start at the parking lot following the signs “Fiechtalm” and walk along the lake on a forest road until we come to a fork in the road. Here we choose the wide and flat hiking trail. Soon we reach a small bridge that brings us back onto the forest road. Now it's a little uphill. After about an hour we reach the Fiecht Alm, where the cooking is really delicious. There is always a barbecue on Sundays in summer. On these days it is advisable to reserve a table in advance by telephone. At the Fiechtalm you can buy homemade cheese as well as refreshments.

Circular hike in the rear Ulten - easy

Dinosaur trail

DIRECTIONS

The path begins opposite the church, from where you can already see the first dinosaur and the corresponding information board. First it goes relatively steeply over a tarred driveway to the Gasteig-Hof. Straight ahead, past a dilapidated farm, a forest path climbs slightly towards the Gampenpass . The path joins the main road shortly before the top of the pass and the last information board is reached after about 100 meters. The way back is the same.

Nature trail to Eschenlohe Castle

DIRECTIONS

From the tourist office you go towards the village center, where the first signpost is. The path first climbs steeply over a settlement and then gently descends to Kirchbach. We continue on a flat path through a deciduous forest. Past the edges of meadows and forests, the hike climbs gently to the “Holznergraben”. You get to Holzneregg via an access road and through a beech forest. From there it goes down to the main road. We cross this and continue to the tower of Eschenlohe Castle , where the nature trail ends. Return the same way. Possibly return to St. Pankraz with the public bus (stop on the main road outwards). The nature trail offers 16 different stations to deal with nature.

Alm circular Hike Proves

DIRECTIONS

The Hofmahd car park is on the left, directly after the tunnel. Follow the car park towards Proveis and cross the tunnel on the right via an overpass. Follow the signs for the adventure trail (green, white, pink). After 10 minutes you reach the Cloz Alm. After another 10 minutes you come to the Revo Alm. Always following the adventure trail you reach the lower Kesselalm after another 20 minutes. From there you follow the adventure trail to Proveis. The way back is the same or via the Laureineralm to make a circular route.

Via the Felixer Alm to the Felixer Weiher

DIRECTIONS

From the parking lot (1329 m) we come to a gently sloping forest road. We cross an old sawmill and soon we are walking in a larch forest with meadows. We stay on the forest road. Continuously rising, we reach the Felixer Alm (1630 m) in about 1:30 hours, where we can strengthen ourselves. A narrow forest path brings us to the lake. After 10 minutes we see the Felix pond , also known as the Tretsee. Before we hike back into the valley, you should hike around the lake with its island. For the way back we choose the same route as the way there.

 

SPECIAL FEATURES: Continue hiking to the Schönegg viewpoint (1773m),

and a visit to the Felix waterfall

Waldbrunnenweg - Schwemmalm family hike

DIRECTIONS

From the Schwemmalm mountain station, follow the marker 6 to the Auserschwemmalm and from there follow the Waldbrunnenweg with the marker 29 into the valley. The circular route offers a beautiful view of the Ultner Hochwart and the Ilmenspitze. After a good half an hour, marking 13B leads down to the left and then back out of the valley to the Innerschwemmalm. From there you go back up to the Auserschwemmalm and back to the mountain station of the cable car.

To the Gampenalm

DIRECTIONS

After St. Walburg on the right side is the exit for Proveis. Shortly after tunnel 3 on the right is a small parking lot with signs for Gampenalm. Follow the forest road for 60 minutes and you will reach the Gampenalm.

To the Laureiner Alm

DIRECTIONS

After St. Walburg on the right is the exit for Proveis. Shortly after tunnel 3 on the left is a large parking lot with signs to Laureineralm. Follow the forest road for 60 minutes and you will reach the Laureiner Alm.

To the Bärenbadalm

Starting point: Vigiljoch cable car valley station

Duration: Way there: 1h 30min

Altitude difference : 40m - Suitable for when: All year round

 

DIRECTIONS

We park at the Vigiljoch valley station in Lana. We take the modern cable car to the Vigiljoch , Lana's local mountain. You can choose between two options: continue with the chair lift or walk along path no. 13 and then no. 34. The chair lift takes you to the “Sessellift” inn (1814 m). Follow path no. 4 to the “Jocher” inn (1770 m). where there is a children's playground and the St. Vigilius weather church. The path continues to the actual Vigiljoch (1743 m). There you follow path no. 2 down slightly to the Bärenbadalm (1706 m). The way back is the same. Another option is the hike to the Schwarzen Lacke (1730 m) with the “Seespitz” inn. To do this, choose path no.9 at the Vigilius Church (approx. 30 minutes)

Mariolbergalm and Falkomai

DIRECTIONS

The ascent is from the car park via the forest road marked 9A. You circle almost the entire Mariolberg until you reach the  Mariolberger Alm (1660 m) (also called Inner Kühalm) after about 50 minutes - with a leisurely walk. Further along the forest path there is a turnoff to the Inner and Outer Falkomai Alm. Take path no. 3 uphill to the Aussere Falkomaialm. From there you can continue to the Innere Falkomaialm via a beautiful small mountain lake. From there, follow the signs back to the Mariolbergalm, back to the parking lot.

DIRECTIONS

From the Gampenpass (1518 m) we take path no.133 towards the Laugenalm. We always follow the forest road, which rises steadily. Again and again we have to cope with shorter, quite strenuous passages, but always remain in the forest so that the possibly shining sun does not make us suffer too much. After a good 1:30 hours we reach a bend that gives us an idea of the Alm (1853 m). Now we leave the dense forest and can enjoy the surrounding mountains from the view that is released: Kleiner Laugen (2297 m), Großer Laugen (2434 m), Brenta Group, Gantkofel.

DIRECTIONS

The hiking trail starts right at the end of the road. Walk the two minutes down the steep slope to the crossroads and turn right there (path up). Follow the signs for the Larcher Berger Säge. When you get to the saw, turn right and follow the sign towards Kühbergalm. Whether you take the forest road or the shortcuts is up to you.

When you arrive at the Kühbergalm, follow the signs "Hoher Dieb" to the Kofelraster lakes. When you arrive at the first lake, follow it and continue following the signs to “Hoher Dieb”. (Another 1h)

To the Peilstein

DIRECTIONS

The hiking trail starts right at the end of the road. Go downhill for the two minutes

to the crossroads and turn right there (path upwards). At the first T-junction, go right (slightly downhill) on path 4A to the main street. Follow the street up to the left to Simian, where the starting point for the Riemerbergl Alm is. Following the road straight ahead to Riem is the starting point for the Marschnell Alm. Via path 10A you reach the Marschnell Alm. Via hiking path no. 10 you come to the Peilstein. You can go back the same way or take route 4 via the Riemerberglalm.

From Alpinence to Mutegg

DIRECTIONS

From the Alpinence, follow hiking trail 3 downwards, signposted “St. Moritz ”until you get to the main street. From there, follow the road uphill until the path branches off on the left, signposting “St. Moritz ”. (If the path is still closed, you can continue a few meters to the Weiberhimml restaurant. Past there, you will come to the chairlift where you continue and follow the ski slope along the path until you come to the turnoff to St. Moritz on the left .

At the parking lot, follow the marker no. 6 steeply upwards towards Schwemmalm to the first fork in the path, where you keep left and after crossing the forest for a long time you reach a forest road. Go left across the street to a meadow. The path splits at the end of the meadow; you climb up on the forest path to the right (signposts - no. 6), then shorten over a path to the right and briefly up through the forest. The forest road is crossed, the path leads straight up through the forest and alpine meadows and in turn joins the forest path. On this one continues to the left until the next junction. When you arrive at Schwemmalm, you can continue along path 6 to Mutegg. The way back is the same.

Follow path number 12 until shortly before the Langsee where you turn onto hiking path 107 towards Fiechtalm / Weißbrunn. To get to the Fiechtalm you have to leave path 107 and use number 104. (Signs for Fiechtalm). From there you can take the forest path back to the Weißbrunn reservoir.

Via path 20 we come back to the reservoir and go back to the parking lot.

DIRECTIONS

After the forest shortly before the Töll, the road branches off to the right, where there is a large parking lot after the third curve on the left. This is the starting point for the Algunder Waalweg. (There are various rest stops along the way) The Waalweg leads to Gratsch (suspension bridge). You can now go back the same way or continue to Merano. After Merano, follow the main road briefly and a few curves down until the Tappeinerweg begins on the left. The Tappeinerweg takes you to the center of Merano. Don't forget to have an ice cream in the famous Sabine ice cream parlor (next to the Hotel Therme). Attention: Sometimes waiting times of up to 20 minutes. From the train station or from Rennweg (= city center) you can take bus no. 213 back to your car (stop: Oberplars AW). The bus ride costs € 1.50 and must be thrown into the machine exactly as it does not give change. The bus runs every 15 minutes on weekdays from the end of April to the end of October.

This family-friendly hike begins in Oberlana (In one of the last bends after the Ultental shortly before Lana there are 4 - 5 parking spaces. Here you follow the brown signs to the Marlinger Waalweg on the left, directly in the bend through the apple meadows The Marlinger Waalweg has already covered the steepest section of this hike. The Waalweg itself leads almost flat through the picturesque orchards and colorful vineyards of the Marlinger Berg. Merano is precisely this interplay between forest and meadows, orchards and vineyards, mountains and valleys and its surroundings have a very special charm.

Several places to stop for a break invite you to enjoy and linger. From Töll you can comfortably return to Lana by bus or the Vinschger train. If you don't want to change trains in Merano, you can also break off the Waalweg halfway (Marling) and go back the same way)

DIRECTIONS

The signposted felt art hiking trail begins at the “Hotel Burggräfler”. 24 works of art made of felted sheep's wool can be seen along the way. 24 artists from seven countries have processed the wool of local sheep and created objects from felt on a wide variety of topics. The various forms felted wool can take on is clearly presented to the hiker on the basis of the exhibited pictures, reliefs and sculptures. King Laurin's rose garden, embedded in the mixed forest of the Vorbichl, is guarded by the tree spirit and a weather witch. You meet Hansel and Gretel as well as a myriad of fish, an ibex and the fantasy bird. All in all, a colorful, entertaining and entertaining show.

 

Tip: Hike to the church hill of St. Hippolyt. At 758 m, it is the highest and most striking elevation of the elongated ridge that slopes down towards the Adige Valley. Because of its unique view, the hill is known as the “royal box of the burgrave office”.

DIRECTIONS

From the parking lot of the Schwemmalm valley station, take a narrow asphalt road out of the valley to the hamlet of Kuppelwies. There you follow the signs “St. Moritz / Sunnenseitnweg “left upwards. First over a narrow tar road, then over a gravel road it goes uphill until it joins an asphalt road. Here you turn left and walk up the tarred road for approx. 200 meters until the path with marking number 12 branches off to the right. Follow this until it briefly hits the road again. The onward path (No. 12) leads past the group of houses, then straight on to the next courtyard, which you also pass to finally reach the end of the street. You continue through the forest until you meet a farm access road again in a bend. Here you walk straight ahead to the next courtyard, past the building, then straight ahead on path number 12, which leads through the meadows, past the two following courtyards, until you turn off at Mitteregghof on path number 13 (signposted) . The path leads up above the farm and in short sections through the forest to the next fork at the edge of the forest. There you follow path number 13 to the left (signs) and climb through the forest to the next fork in the path. Follow the signs to the Innerschwemmalm (path no.13). In numerous bends you drive up the mountain to Schweinsteig and on to the Marschnell Alm. From here, path 4B descends downhill to the Riemer Bergl Alm. From the Riemerberglalm the forest path branches off to the Simian car park (signposted St. Walburg). Back on the main road, follow the road past the parking lot to the first left curve. Instead of taking the bend, turn right with the signs for Larcher Berger Säge. This path leads you back to the Alpinence where you only have to turn left (down) once more.

We drive from Alpinence along the road to the intersection and turn left upwards. We follow the road uphill to a sharp bend to the right. We continue to the Steinrast restaurant and then down to the valley station of the Schwemmalm ski area. It continues on the forest road to the little church of St. Moritz and then on the tarred road down to St. Nikolaus. The Ulten courtyard trail begins at the church. This leads to the valley station of the cable car to Kuppelwies. Continue to the village church of St. Walburg. We follow the road to Haus Bergfried. Turn left here and continue to Innerdurach, always following the road to Hof Gigglhirn. From here on the forest road uphill towards Larcher Berger Säge, but we immediately turn left on the forest road back to Alpinence.

DIRECTIONS

Take the main road down the Larchaberg to the first large crossing and turn right towards the Breiteben valley station. Drive up the mountain until you reach the Breiteben valley station and the Alpinlounge W (Gasthaus Weiberhimmel).

Behind the house, the path goes up the ski slope for a short time and then continues left on the forest road towards St. Moritz. From St. Moritz follow the tar road for approx. 1 km and then right up the road towards Schwemmalm - approx. 1.5 km tar road, then forest road. When you arrive at Schwemmalm, there are two places to stop for refreshments, the Außener Schwemmalm 2,145 m and approx. 5 minutes further the somewhat quieter Inner Schwemmalm 2,093 m. Back you go along the path no.13, follow the trail down to the forest road, then continue to the first courtyards, and then simply follow path no.12 again to the tar road.

Follow this for about 2.5 km until you discover the curve on the right, from which you first came from Larchaberg. Follow this one. Shortly after the first left turn, always in the direction of Larchaberg, follow the road until you come to the left turn from Alpinence.

To the Spitzenalm

The tour to the Spitzen Alm starts at the parking lot of the Zoggler reservoir . You drive along the dam wall to the east bank and the forest road (gravel) in an even incline through the forest up to the Spitzen Alm. The way back is via the outward path.

VARIANT

The way back for experienced downhill specialists is from the Spitzen Alm next to the forest road on path 22, which then joins the forest road after about 2 km.

Gampenalm

The tour starts from the parking lot of the sports field in St. Walburg. First, follow the road to the dam of the Zoggler Reservoir and continue to its eastern bank. Drive up the forest road to the Spitzen Alm. Here on the easy mountain path 23 down to the Gampen Alm. From the Alm via a forest trail to the Eggerhöfen down to the main road that leads to Proveis . Turn left and continue a little further and then turn left again at the bus stop. On the forest road over the Leachen Hof in the Kohlstattgröben, up to the Kohlstatt and on to the Kerschbam Hof. Down on the Ultner Talweg and a little further in the direction of St. Walburg. Before the overwater turn right and back to the sports complex.

Ulten valley round

DIRECTIONS

Also possible from the Alpinence by driving down the Larchaberg to Kuppelwies, otherwise you can park in Kuppelwies. You follow the main road to the dam of the Zoggler reservoir in St. Walburg.

Turn right there and cross the lake on the dam. Keep to the right at the end and take the sea along. This leads into the Höfeweg, on which you continue cycling. At the St. Nikolaus bus stop, drive into the Ulten main street. This takes you past St. Nikolaus to the bus stop at Mühlau Hof. Turn left and go up to the Falschauerhof tavern (good refreshments). A little further along the road and then right along the forest path that leads into the Höfeweg. It is not far to the ancient larches, so there are many hikers here. From the primeval larches, the path leads down a little before you have to cycle up to the left at the Innerlahner and the cyclist reaches the church in St. Gertraud. From there we drive back to St. Nikolaus. Turn left here and into the village to the Ultner Valley Museum. Turn right and drive onto the Ultner Höfeweg. Follow this to Kuppelwies to the starting point.

DIRECTIONS

This is a racing bike tour to the Brezer Joch.

First you drive down the Ulten main road to Lana . From here on the Gampenpassstraße, uphill in the direction of Tesimo and in many bends to the Gampenpass . Keep following the road, past Our Lady in the Forest, to St. Felix. It goes to Trentino to Fondo. Shortly before the village, turn right into Via Merano, continue on Via 4 Novembre and over this to Castelfondo. On the state road, the cyclist arrives at the Brezer Joch and then it goes down to Laurein . Always continue in the direction of Proveis and uphill to the Hofmahdjoch. The route leads through a long tunnel into the Ulten Valley and then down to the Ulten main road. Turn right here, past the Pankraz reservoir and back to St. Pankraz .

DIRECTIONS

The "ultimate" bike tour starts at the valley station of the cable car in Kuppelwies (you can also drive directly from Alpinence to Kuppelwies). First a short distance on the main road into the valley, then turn left at the Hofer Mühle towards the Zoggler reservoir . Turn left at the Seeweg and follow it out of the valley to the dam. Here always on forest path 27A steeply up towards the Spitzen Alm and turn right at the first forest path "Hofer Mais". Always in the ascent and then in the up and down further through beautiful forest area until it goes steeply down again to the reservoir. On path 19 back to Hofer Mühle and on to the starting point.

Riemerberglalm

DIRECTIONS

The starting point is the valley station of the Schwemmalm cable car. Follow the valley road out of the valley to the dam. Turn left there and follow the paved road uphill for about 6.7 km (563 m). From the farm in Riem, turn left onto the forest road and then drive approx. 3 km (344 m) up to the Riemerbergl Alm at 2,049 m. Downhill from the Riemerbergl Alm on a single trail: after 660 m, follow path marker 4 on the right, whereby you crosses the forest road twice. You then reach the tarred road, follow this 1 km around the left bend and then continue on the single trail - path marker 4 -. Cross the tar road once and follow the trail to the Marson farms. From there drive to the tarred road and then down to the intersection of the valley road. Turn right at the intersection and follow the road for approx. 1 km to the starting point.

To the Kaserfeldalm

DIRECTIONS

The starting point is the valley station of the Schwemmalm cable car. At the cable car, the path goes right up towards Ultner Höfeweg. After about 4 km, you will reach the center of St. Nikolaus. There it goes right up towards St. Moritz. After another 2.3 km (236 m), turn left in a right bend (wayside cross) and follow the tarred road for approx. 2.8 km to the end. Once there, turn right onto the forest road and go uphill for 1.8 km. Here you shouldn't miss the Kaserfeldalm sign on the right. Push the hiking trail up to the right, approx. 5-10 minutes. Then follow the trail marker 14B to the left to the Kaserfeldalm. From there, half left on hiking trail 145 over a flowing single trail back to the tar road. Follow this road inwards for approx. 2 km to the intersection of the valley road in the direction of Weißbrunn, at the Jochmoar Höfen. Drive along the road into the valley, after 3.3 km you will reach Weißbrunn 1,872. From there it goes over the forest road up to the Fiechtalm 2,037 m. Back into the valley from the Fiechtalm after 350 m forest road left over the single trail - path marker 107 in the direction of St. Gertraud . The last 1.2 km of the trail are challenging with switchbacks and stone blocks. Continue along the dirt road to the tarred road, turn left and follow the road to the right at the bridge to the Lahner Säge National Park Center. From here follow the Ultner Höfeweg marker. After a short tarred section, the Ulten ancient larches are reached.
The route continues along the Ultner Höfeweg trail. Never leave the Ultner Höfeweg marking until the inlet of the reservoir. There left over the bridge to the valley road and back to the starting point.

Innerfalkomai and Mariolbergalm

DIRECTIONS

From the Alpinence, drive along the street to the crossroads and turn right, up to the Hochrain farm, where you turn right, briefly downhill and then go up to the left. From there follow the forest road. As soon as you reach a tar road again, follow it briefly and then right down the trail marker 10
As a trail rider you cross once a forest road and once the tarred mountain road, as well as cross a farm. Then you reach the tar road again, which you follow briefly to the left. Then drive onto the forest road in the right bend. Follow this to the Innerdurach Höfe. At the Innerdurach Höfe turn left up the mountain. Attention: in the bend (forest barrier) straight ahead. Now follow the forest road for about 7 km to the Innerfalkomai Alm 2051m, where you can stop for refreshments. (For the onward journey according to the map you should have trailer experience, otherwise drive back to the Innerdurach-Höfe). Now it goes downhill along the Mariolberger Alm 3A path markings, through partly very stony terrain with short pushing passages. The adventurous journey goes over 2.3 km to the bridge of the Kirchbach. The forest road continues to the Mariolberger Alm 1661m (refreshment stops). Back there is another 2.3 km on the forest road (to the St. Helena junction) and 1 km tarred road to the Innerkaserbach Hof junction. Turn right here and follow the Panoramastrasse to St. Walburg. Arrived there through the village, then cross the dam on the left side and along the sea route back to the starting point. At the Schwemmalm junction, turn right and follow the paved road uphill for approx. 2.2 km. At the Marson-Höfe courtyard, turn right and continue to the next intersection. Turn left there and continue on the tarred road. At the crossroads, sharp left, with the signs "Innerlarcha" you come back to the Alpinence.

On the sunny slope

DIRECTIONS

From St. Pankraz in a slight incline through Ultental on the main road to St. Walburg. Attention: here you will pass a few short tunnels. In St. Walburg turn sharply right and go up to the church. Following the road, the racing bike tour leads past several rustic farms and alpine meadows with a wonderful view over the Ultental. Steadily uphill to the St. Helena junction. Then down into the Kirchbachtal and back to the starting point.

From St. Pankraz to St. Walburg there are some tunnels to drive through.

About the Rabbijoch

DIRECTIONS

From St. Gertraud (1395 m) this tour leads along the Kirchbergbach. Mark 106 leads to the Kirchberg valley, across the stream and turn right onto path no. 108. This takes you to the Kirchbergalm (1893 m). Following the markings you get to Bärhappalm (2295 m) and further up to Rabbijoch (2467 m). Some sliding passages have to be planned here. Now it's going downhill.

Warning: Not suitable when wet.

Gampen Pass - Brezer

DIRECTIONS

With the racing bike it goes from St. Walburg from Ultental to Lana . Turn right there on the Gampenpassstraße and up to the pass (1518 m). The tour leads slightly downwards to Fondo. Turn right again and go up towards Proveis . The road climbs and you reach the Brezer Joch (1397m). Downhill again and past Laurein . Keep right, because this is where the last ascent to the Hofmahdjoch (1620 m) begins. Now it goes down to Ultental and back to the starting point.

To the Arzkarsee

DIRECTIONS

From the Alpinence you go down the street. Keep to the right until you come to the Breiteben valley station (Weiberhimmel restaurant). There you drive to the Kuppelwieser Alm at almost 2000 meters. At the Kuppelwieser Alm the road turns into a forest path. A few more switchbacks and about 300 meters of altitude have to be overcome to get to the Arzkar reservoir. The way back is the same to the Steinrastalm at 1723 meters. Directly at the Alm we then turn right into path no. 11 to return via St. Moritz. It is a forest path on which the mountain bike only has to be carried once for a very short distance. From St. Moritz it goes down on the narrow road to St. Nikolaus and on the main road to Kuppelwies to the Schwemmalm valley station. From there, continue for a few hundred meters on the main road out of the valley, then turn left into the former access road to the ski area. At Marson Höfe, turn right onto the street you came on and drive the last 2 km back to Alpinence.

Panoramic tour St. Pankraz

DIRECTIONS

from St. Pankraz into the valley on the Ultnerstraße (state road) for about 1.7 km to the Mitterbad / Buchen fork. Turn left and follow the road. Following the signs for Buchen along the mountain road, you will reach the last beech farmsteads after 6 km. A forest path crosses the valley, changes back to an asphalt road, which later meets a fork. We keep to the right and drive uphill to the Hofschank Pfrolln. Return along the ascent route to the fork, follow the road on the right towards St. Pankraz . At the end of the descent you come to a bridge, which we cross and turn right. In a slight incline you pass some settlements and at the end you come to the state road, on which you return to the starting point in St. Pankraz.
